SANDWICH, England (TheSpread) – Two of the top American golfers are Matt Kuchar and Nick Watney. Which of these two will be able to finish better in the British Open?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, both golfers come into the matchup with odds of -115 to beat the other this weekend.
Kuchar has been pretty steady all year as he has nine top 10’s and 12 top 20’s. He has failed to miss a cut all year long. Kuchar has yet to win a major championship in his career. He has placed in the top 27 of his last six majors, including two top 10’s. At the British Open, Kuchar hasn’t finished better than 27th, and he has been cut in five of his six appearances.
Watney is coming off a win in the AT&T National. It was his second win of the year. Watney has eight top 10’s this year. He has never won a major in his career, but he has finished in the top 10 in two of his 15 major appearances. At the British Open, Watney has finished in the top 27 the last two years, including a seventh-place finish last year.
The 2011 British Open will be played at Royal St. George in Sandwich, England and runs from Thursday, July 14 to Sunday, July 17.
