British Open Second Round Odds
SANDWICH, ENGLAND (TheSpread) – The first round of the 2011 British Open has concluded and a pair of surprise names are atop the leader board.

Thomas Bjorn and amateur Tom Lewis both shot a 5-under 65 on Thursday to hold a one-shot lead over a trio of golfers. Bjorn hasn’t made a top 10 in a major championship since 2005 while Lewis is not even a professional yet in his career.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, Bjorn now has 20/1 odds to win the tournament while Lewis has 33/1 odds. The favorite to win is now Graeme McDowell.
Lewis birdied four-straight holes at one point in his round to get to 5-under par. He had just two bogies on his round. Bjorn actually was 6-under heading into his final hole, but bogied No. 18.
McDowell is currently tied for sixth at 2-under par. McDowell started his day with a double bogey and was actually 3-over par after five holes, but he battled his way back and birdied his final two holes to get to 2-under.
The 2011 British Open is played at Royal St. George in Sandwich, England and continues on Friday, July 15 and concludes on Sunday, July 17.
