Tiger Woods ends drought
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods snapped his two-year losing streak on Sunday as he birdied the 72nd hole to win the Chevron World Challenge over Zach Johnson.
Woods shot a 3-under 69 on Sunday to finished the tournament at 10-under par, which was one ahead of Johnson, who finished 9-under for the tournament after shooting a 71 on Sunday.
According to oddsmakers, Woods had 11/4 odds to win this tournament, meaning a $100 wager on Woods will pay out an additional $275.
With the win, Woods has now placed in the top 3of his last two tournaments. He also had a strong showing in the Presidents Cup two weeks ago, which gives golf fans hope that Woods is starting to return to his old form. This was his last tournament of the 2011 season.
