SAN MARTIN, CA (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods makes his return to golfing action on Thursday as he takes part in the 2011 Frys.com Open.

Woods hasn’t competed since the PGA Championship when he missed the cut. He has now fallen to 51^st in the world rankings after being on top for such a long period of time. Woods has two top 10’s on the year and hasn’t picked up a win since 2009.

Despite the struggles, oddsmakers still see Woods as the favorite to win, giving him 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win this tournament are Spencer Levin (22/1) while three others have 25/1 odds.

Levin is 87^th in the current world rankings. He is coming off a fifth-place finish in last week’s PGA Tour event, which was his fourth top 10 of the year. He placed 55^th in this tournament last year and 33^rd in 2009.

Among the group with 25/1 odds to win is last week’s winner Kevin Na, who won his first tour victory last Sunday.

The 2011 Frys.com Open is played at CordeValle in San Martin, California and will start on Thursday, Oct. 6 and conclude on Sunday, Oct. 9.
