Tiger Woods 2011 Majors Odds
Tiger Woods is set to begin his 2011 golfing campaign next week and here is a look at what oddsmakers think Woods will do in the four major championships.
Out of a possible four majors to win in 2011 oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com believe that Woods is most likely to go without a single major this year. Woods has a betting line of -150 to win 0 majors while his other lines are 1 major (+175), 2 majors (+650), 3 majors (+2000) and all 4 majors (+4000).
Woods has not won a major championship in the last two years, with his last title being the 2008 U.S. Open, when he won on a broken leg. Woods has placed in the top 6 of the last eight majors, but currently in one of the longest droughts of his career in terms of winning a major.
In his career, Woods has went without a major seven times, but just twice in the last six years. Woods has won a single major in five different years and two majors in three different years. Only once in his career has Woods won three majors in a single year and he has never won the Grand Slam, nor has any golfer for that matter.
Despite struggles in 2010 due to some off-the-course issues, Woods showed improvement toward the end of the year and was still competitive in the major championships. Many feel Woods will be more of his old self this year and be able to find a way to win his 15th major championship at the very least.
