Kaymer vs. Watney Odds
AUGUSTA, GA (TheSpread) – Martin Kaymer is the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world, but Nick Watney has been playing the best in 2011. Which golfer will finish better in the 2011 Masters.
According to online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com Watney is the favorite to win this matchup as he has odds of -130 to finish ahead of Kaymer (+100).
Watney has played in the Masters three times, finishing in the top 20 each year, including a career-best 7th-place finish in 2010. Watney has finished in the top 10 in two of his last four majors. Watney has had a great 2011 thus far, playing in six tournaments and finishing no worse than 13th in any of them. He has one win and five top 10’s on the year.
Kaymer is No. 1 in the world golf rankings. He has played in the Masters three times and missed the cut each time, but he has finished in the top 10 of the last three majors and he won the 2010 PGA Championship. Kaymer has one win and two top 10’s in 2011, but has finished 20th or worse in four of his six tournaments this year.
Watney is clearly the hotter golfer right now as he seems to be in contention wherever he plays. Kaymer has struggled at Augusta but has also taken his game to a new level since playing in last year’s tournament. The safe bet is Watney, but Kaymer is always dangerous.
