Masters 2nd Round Odds
AUGUSTA, GA (TheSpread) – It was a low-scoring first round of the 2011 Masters as Rory McIlroy and Alvaro Quiros find themselves tied for the lead at 7-under par.
Both golfers shot a 65 in their first round as McIlroy went without a bogey for 18 holes while Quiros had just one. The two are two shots ahead of Y.E. Yang and K.J. Choi for the lead.
McIlroy is now the favorite to win the Masters according to online sportsbook Bodog.com as he has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (6/1), while the group of Quiros, Choi, Tiger Woods, and Matt Kuchar each have 12/1 odds. Yang currently has 20/1 odds.
Mickelson is the defending Masters champion. He shot a 2-under 70 on Thursday to finish five strokes out of first. He is past of a group of 10 golfers tied for 14th place.
Woods shot a 1-under 71 on Thursday. He is tied for 24th place. He was 1-over at one point in his round but rallied for back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14.
Kuchar is 4-under for the tournament after shooting a 68 on Thursday. He is joined by Ricky Barnes in a tie for fifth place for the tournament.
