Arnold Palmer Invite Odds
ORLANDO, FL (TheSpread) – A six-time winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Tiger Woods looks to finally get back on track this week when he seeks his seventh title in the 2011 tournament.
Despite lacking a win since the end of 2009, Woods is the favorite to win this week with 4/1 odds to win according to online sportsbook Bodog.com. Other short odds to win this event are Phil Mickelson (7/1), Dustin Johnson (15/2), and Graeme McDowell (15/2).
Woods has won this event six times, with the last coming in 2009. No other golfer has won this even more than twice. Woods hasn’t finished higher than 10th in any of the four events he has competed in this year.
Mickelson won this event back in 1997. He finished 30th in 2010 and he has finished outside the top 10 in four of his last five events. Mickelson is winless since winning the 2010 Masters nearly a year ago.
Johnson has not won this event and he finished 40th at last year’s event. Johnson finished second in his last event and has three top 10’s in seven events.
McDowell is the top-ranked golfer in the field, as he sits fourth in the world rankings. He missed the cut in last year’s tournament and was 40th in 2009, but he has four top 10’s in five events this year.
