Bob Hope Classic Picks
LA QUINTA, CA (TheSpread) – The 2011 Bob Hope Classic tees off on Wednesday and here are some picks to consider for this five-round event.
Matt Kuchar 9/2
Kuchar has been a consistent force in the PGA over the last six months. He has failed to miss a cut in a long time and placed in the top 25 of his last 12 events, including one win. Kuchar finished second in this event last year and should be among the contenders to win once Sunday rolls around.
Bubba Watson 12/1
Like Kuchar, Watson tied for second in last year’s event and he has had a boost in play since the Ryder Cup. Watson has made his last eight cuts and placed in the top 25 of his last three tournaments. I like Watson to find a way to be in the top 10 come Sunday, giving him a chance to get the win.
Justin Leonard 33/1
Leonard won this tournament in 2005, so he knows the courses well. Leonard hasn’t been much of a factor in the golf world for a few years, but he still has found ways to contend in a handful of tournaments each year and with 33/1 odds, he could provide a big payout.
