2011 FedEx Cup Odds
As the 2011 PGA Tour kicks off this week, here is a look at the odds for which golfer will win the 2011 FedEx Cup, the season-long championship.
Despite a rough 2010 year, Tiger Woods is favored to bounce back and win the title in 2011 according to the online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. Woods has been given 3/1 odds to win. The Field is actually the next favorite with 4/1 odds while other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (10/1), Dustin Johnson (15/1), and Jim Furyk (15/1).
Woods has won two of the four FedEx Cup titles, winning in 2009 and 2007. Last year Woods finished 42nd in the standings and failed to qualify for the final event of the playoffs as he struggled all year, not winning a single event. Woods should be back to playing a full schedule this year, giving him better odds to win.
Furyk is the defending FedEx Cup champion and a win in the 2010 Tour Championship allowed him to win the championship as wins in the playoffs really decided the ultimate Cup winner.
Aside from Woods and Furyk, the only other Cup winner has been Vijay Singh, who won the title in 2008. Singh has 100/1 odds to win this year’s championship.
