PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (TheSpread) – Some of the top players from the European Tour make a stop on the PGA Tour this week to play in the 2011 Honda Classic.

Following his win in the Accenture Match Play Championship, Luke Donald will look to follow it up with a win in the Honda Classic as he joins Lee Westwood, Graeme McDowell, and Rory McIlroy as European Tour players stepping out in the PGA this week.

According to online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com Donald and Westwood are favored to win with 7/1 odds while McDowll, McIlroy and Matt Kuchar all come in with 8/1 odds to win the tournament.

Donald won this event in 2006 and he has since moved to third in the world rankings. Four European players now hold to top four spots in the rankings with Martin Kaymer at 1, Westwood at 2, Donald at 3, and McDowell at 4. Donald has finished in the top 10 in six of his last seven events.

Westwood has been struggling as of late since he took the top spot in the world rankings late last year. Now at No. 2, Westwood hasn’t finished better than 15^th in his last four tournaments.

Kuchar is a former winner of this event, as he took the title in 2002. Kuchar finished third in last week’s Match Play Championship and has placed in the top 10 in four of his last five events.

McDowell has been on a hot string recently, shooting up to fourth in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in seven of his last nine events, including two victories.
