Tournament of Champions Odds
KAPALUA, HI (TheSpread) – The 2011 PGA Tour Season kicks off this Thursday from Kapalua Resort-Plantation Course for the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
The two-time defending champion, Geoff Ogilvy is the favorite to repeat as champion as he has 8/1 odds to win according to online sportsbook Sportsbook.com. Other short odds to win are Ernie Els (10/1), Graeme McDowell (10/1), Jim Furyk (12/1), and Dustin Johnson (12/1).
Ogilvy has won the last two titles, shooting 22-under par last year and 24-under par in 2009. His victory in 2010 was his last tour win.
Els is a former champion as he took the title in 2003, shooting a tournament record of 31-under par. Furyk also won the tournament, as he took the title back in 2001. Stuart Appleby is a three-time winner, as he took the title in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Appleby has 20/1 odds to win this year’s tournament.
