Baddeley wins for The Field
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA (TheSpread) – Aaron Baddeley picked up his first win in four years as the PGA veteran won the 2011 Northern Trust Open on Sunday by two strokes.
Baddeley shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday to best Vijay Singh by two shots. Baddeley finished the tournament at 12-under par while Singh came in at 10-under following a 69 on Sunday.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, Baddeley was part of The Field that had 10/1 odds to win the tournament, meaning a $100 wager on Baddeley will pay out an additional $1,000.
The sentimental favorite to win on Sunday was Fred Couples, who entered the day in contention, but shot a 2-over 73 to fall back to -7 for the tournament.
