Transitions Championship Odds
PALM HARBOR, FL (TheSpread) – Fresh off his win last week, Nick Watney is now the favorite along with Martin Kaymer to win the 2011 Transitions Championship, which is this week’s PGA event.
Both Watney and Kaymer have 5/1 odds to win according to online sportsbook Bodog.com. Other short odds to win the event are Paul Casey (10/1) and Padraig Harrington (11/1).
Watney is now 15th in the world rankings following his win and he has now finished in the top 10 in his last five events and in seven of his last nine events. Watney has placed inside the top 12 in this event the last two years.
Kaymer is the top ranked player in the world, but he has finished outside the top 20 in three of the last four events. Kaymer hasn’t played in this event over recent years.
Casey is seventh in the world rankings as he has finished in the top 20 of his last three events. Casey also has not competed in this tournament in recent years.
Harrington has fallen back to 34th in the world rankings, but he finished 10th last week, which was his first top 10 in his last six events. Harrington finished eighth in the 2010 Transitions Championship.
