Presidents Cup Updated Odds
MELBOURNE, Australia (TheSpread) – The first day of the 2011 Presidents Cup is complete and the United States overcame a slow start to take a lead over the International Team.

The U.S. won the first round of this four-day event, 4-2, over the span of six alternate shot matches.
The U.S. actually went 3-1-2 on the day with the lone loss coming from Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker, who were soundly beaten by the team of Adam Scott and K.J. Choi 7&6.
The Americans picked up victories from the teams of Hunter Mahan & David Toms, Phil Mickelson & Jim Furyk, and Bubba Watson & Webb Simpson to get three big points.
With the first day’s results, oddsmakers now have the United States as the favorite to win this event, giving the U.S. a money line of -175. The International Team now has odds of +125 to win the Presidents Cup.
The event continues tonight at 9 p.m. with six matches of four ball, which is where all four golfers play a ball and the individual with the best score on the hole wins that hole for his team.
