US holds on to 2-point lead
MELBOURNE, Australia (TheSpread) – The first two days of the 2011 Presidents Cup are complete and the United States is holding on to a 2-point lead with two more days of play to go.

The second day of play saw the teams split 6 fourball matches, making the current score 7-5 in favor of the United State with 10 different matches taking play on the third day of play.
The after noon pairings of foursomes action have been announced and five matches will take place, which means two golfers from each team will be sitting out. In the evening rounds, five fourball matches will take place. The event will conclude on Sunday (Saturday local time) with 12 individual matches.
With the 7-5 lead, the United States has been made the favorite to win the Presidents Cup with a money line of -225 according to oddsmakers. The International Team comes in with odds of +155.
Day 2 of the event saw both teams win three of the six matches. The U.S. got wins out of Bubba Watson/Webb Simpson, Jim Furyk/Phil Mickelson, and Matt Kuchar/Steve Stricker. Tiger Woods again lost his match. He was partnered with Dustin Johnson and lost to the team of Jason Day and Aaron Baddeley. Woods is now 0-2 in matches for the even while K.J. Choi of the International team is 2-0.
The 2011 Presidents Cup is played at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia and will continue this afternoon at 3 p.m. and conclude on early morning on Sunday. For complete odds on the event including the matchup odds for tonight’s pairings, see below.
