U.S. Wins Presidents Cup
MELBOURNE, Australia (TheSpread) – The 2011 Presidents Cup is over and the United States retained the championship by a score of 19-15.

Entering singles play on Sunday, the U.S. held a 13-9 lead, and the spread would stay that way as the two teams split the 12 points in the final round.
The International team got out to a hot start, winning the first four singles matches to erase the deficit, but the U.S. answered back with wins from Hunter Mahan and Nick Watney. The International Team was stingy, winning the next two, but the U.S. closed things out by winning the final four matches. Tiger Woods actually won the point that clinched the championship, as he beat Aaron Baddeley 4&3.
According to oddsmakers, the U.S. Team was actually a slight underdog to win the Presidents Cup, as they had even odds to win, meaning a $100 wager on the U.S. will pay out an additional $100.
The Presidents Cup will be played again in 2013 on U.S. soil.
