According to oddsmakers, Luke Donald is the favorite to win the event with 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Adam Scott (16/1), Steve Stricker (16/1), and Nick Watney (22/1).

Donald is tops in the world rankings and he has 13 top 10’s on the year. Donald has finished in the top 10 of his last two events and placed 15^th in this event last year.

Scott is No. 7 in the world rankings. He has five top 10’s on the year. Scott has placed in the top 10 in three of his last four tournaments and he was ninth in this tournament last year.

Stricker is third in the world rankings and he has five top 10’s on the year. He has placed in the top 20 in his last 11 tournaments, which includes two wins. Stricker won this tournament in 2007 and was third last year.

Watney is 10^th in the world rankings and first in the FedEx Cup standings. He has placed in the top 10 in eight events this year. Watney has placed in the top 10 in just one of his last six tournaments. He placed 36^th in this event last year.

The 2011 The Barclays is played at Plainfield Country Club in Edison, N.J. and will start on Thursday, Aug. 25 and conclude on Sunday, Aug. 28.
