The Memorial Tournament Odds
DUBLIN, OH (TheSpread) – Luke Donald is the new No. 1 golfer in the world and he looks to celebrate that by winning the 2011 Memorial Golf Tournament this week.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com, Donald is the favorite to win this week’s tournament with 9/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (12/1), Matt Kuchar (18/1), and Nick Watney (18/1).
Donald became the top-ranked golfer after winning on the European Tour last week. Donald has now finished in the top 10 in his nine tournament, which includes two victories. Donald has missed one cut this year. Donald finished 14th in this tournament back in 2009.
Mickelson is fourth in world rankings. He has one win this year along with four top 10’s. Mickelson has finished outside the top 20 in five of his last eight tournaments. Mickelson placed fifth in this tournament last year.
Kuchar placed in the top 10 for the seventh time in 2011 last week. It snapped a streak of four-straight tournaments of finishing outside the top 15. Kuchar placed eighth in this tournament last year and fifth in 2009.
Watney has had a strong 2011, as he has seven top 10’s. Watney has finished in the top 10 of his last two tournaments and he placed 14th in this tournament in 2009 despite missing the cut in 2010.
The 2011 The Memorial Tournament will be played at Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio and run from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.
