According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, both men have odds of -115 for this matchup and the two are actually both 10/1 favorites to win the whole tournament.
Westwood is second in the world rankings currently. He is still seeking his first major championship in his career. At the U.S. Open, Westwood has placed in the top 10 in three of his 11 appearances. In recent play, Westwood has finished in the top 11 of his last six golf tournaments.
Luke Donald holds the No. 1 spot in the world ranking and he has finished in the top 10 of his last 10 golf tournaments. Donald has yet to win a major and at the U.S. Open, he has never finished in the top 10. His best finish was 12th back in 2006.
The 2011 U.S. Open will be played at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland and runs from Thursday, June 16 to Sunday, June 19.
