Valero Texas Open Odds
SAN ANTONIO, TX (TheSpread) – The PGA Tour gets back into action following the Masters as Adam Scott leads the field at the Valero Texas Open.
The week’s event starts Thursday from AT&T Oaks Course, but the field isn’t that strong compared to most events as many of the top players take the week off following the first major.
Scott is the favorite to win according to online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com as he has 9/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Geoff Ogilvy (14/1) and Martin Laird (15/1).
Scott is the defending champion of this event and he now ranks 15th in the world after finished tied for second at the Masters. He has placed in the top 10 of his last two events but also has missed two cuts this year.
Ogilvy ranks 29th in the world currently. Ogilvy took fourth in the Masters and has two top 10’s this year.
Laird is 23rd in the world rankings. He has placed in the top 20 in his last four events, including a win in the Arnold Palmer Invite. This year he has four top 10’s.
