Scott wins with Williams
AKRON, OHIO (TheSpread) – Adam Scott’s new caddie, Steve Williams, paid off as he picked up a four-shot win in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday.
Scott led throughout the entire tournament, thanks to a first round 62. On Sunday, Scott shot a 5-under 65 and finished the tournament at 17-under, four shots ahead of Rickie Fowler and Luke Donald.
According to oddsmakers Scott had 40/1 odds to win this week’s tournament, meaning a $100 wager on Scott will pay out an additional $4,000.
The top 10 of the tournament features some of the best in the world including Donald, as Jason Day finished tied for fourth at -12 while Rory McIlroy was tied for sixth at -10.
