Cadillac Championship Odds
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – The WGC hosts another golf event this week as the top golfers in the world compete in the 2011 Cadillac Championship.
All of the best from the PGA and European Tours will be competing this week and the new No. 1 ranked golfer has emerged as the-pre event favorite.
Martin Kaymer is the favorite to win according to online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com while other short odds to win are Tiger Woods (5/1), Graeme McDowell (6/1), and Phil Mickelson (8/1).
Kaymer has never won this event, but he had won four of his last 10 tournaments. He is coming off a second-place showing at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship and hasn’t finished worse than 31st in his last 13 events.
Woods has fallen all the way back to fifth in the world rankings. He is a six-time winner of this event but still hasn’t won an event since 2009. Woods has finished outside the top 20 in his last three tournaments.
McDowell has been on the rise, as he is now fourth in the world rankings. He hasn’t won this event but finished sixth last year and has finished in the top 10 in eight of his last 10 events, which includes one victory.
Mickelson is now sixth in the world rankings. He won this tournament in 2008, but hasn’t faired well in the last three WGC events he has played in. Mickelson has two top 10’s in 2011, but also finished outside the top 20 in three of his six tournaments.
