WGC-HSBC Champions Odds
SHANGHAI, China (TheSpread) – Some of the top golfers in the world compete in the HSBC Champions event this week, a tournament that is part of the World Golf Championships.

Oddsmakers have made Rory McIlroy the favorite to win this event, giving him odds of 5/1 to win. Other short odds to win are Lee Westwood (9/1) and Adam Scott (16/1).
McIlroy ranks third in the world right now. He has finished in the top 3 of his last four golf tournaments and he has missed just one cut this year. He placed fifth in last year’s tournament and fourth in 2009. He has one win in 2011.
Westwood is second in the world rankings. He finished 30th in his last tournament, but was in the top 10 of his previous four. He has two wins this year and was second in last year’s tournament and eighth in 2009.
Scott is eighth in the world rankings. He has one win this year. He has finished in the top 10 in four of his last six tournaments. Scott was 25th in this event last year.
The 2011 WGC-HSBC Champions is played at Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, China and will start on Thursday, Nov. 3 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 6.
