PEBBLE BEACH, CA (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods returns to action this week as he competes in the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

According to oddsmakers, Woods is the favorite to win the event, which takes place from a few different course in Pebble Beach. Oddsmakers have given him odds of 5/1 to win. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (18/1) and Phil Mickelson (20/1).

Woods won this tournament back in 2000. Despite a long streak of struggling, Woods has been a little bit closer to his game as of late, finishing third or better in his last three tournaments, which includes one victory. He is currently 18^th in the world rankings.

Johnson won this tournament in 2010 and 2009. Johnson is 10^th in the world rankings, but he has been struggling as of late. Johnson hasn’t finished in the top 20 in his last eight tournaments.

Mickelson won this event in 1998, 2005, and 2007. In 2007, he set the tournament record by shooting a 20-under 268 over the four days. Mickelson is 17^th in the world rankings, but he has a streak of four tournaments without a top-25 finish. His last top five came 12 tournaments ago. Mickelson did place ninth in last year’s AT&T event.

The 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is played at the Pebble Beach Shore Course and Spyglass Hill and will begin on Feb. 9 and finish up on Sunday, Feb. 13. For complete odds for each golfer at the event, see below.
