According to oddsmakers, Adam Scott is the clear favorite to win this tournament, as he has a 4-shot lead entering Sunday. Scott now has 4/7 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Graeme McDowell (4/1) and Tiger Woods (5/1).
Scott shot a 2-under 68 on Saturday to get to 11-under par for the tournament. Scott was as low as 12-under at one point in the tournament. He is seeking his first-ever major championship, so nerves could be a factor tomorrow.
McDowell had the big round of the day, as he posted a 3-under 67 on Saturday to get to -7 overall. McDowell will be paired with Scott on Sunday and he is seeking his second major championship.
Woods had some chances to make a big move on Saturday, but ultimately shot an even-par 70. Woods has yet to post a round below 67 this week, so a big comeback may not be in the cards.
Brandt Snedeker started the day at -10 overall and with a one shot lead, but struggled early before finishing with a pair of birdies to get to 3-over for the day. Snedeker’s 73 puts him at -7 overall and tied for second with McDowell. He now has 15/1 odds to win the tournament.
The British Open concludes Sunday, July 22 from Royal Lytham in Lancashire, England. For complete odds for each golfer to win the British Open, see below.
