2012 CIMB Classic Predictions
KUALA LAMPUR, MALAYSIA (ATS Consultants) – The PGA Tour heads abroad this week to Kuala Lumpur for the CIMB Classic, where Tiger Woods leads the field.
Woods made an appearance in Turkey this month at the unsanctioned match play event, but this will be his first start in a Tour event since the FedExCup, as he tries to fine tune his game in preparation for the 2013 season. While this week’s tournament may be halfway around the world, the players in the field are among the best for a Fall Series event.
Van Pelt is the defending champion and he won last week in Australia. He beat Jason Dufner by two shots on Sunday in Perth. He’s also been one of the top putters.
Noh’s coming off a two-week stint in South Korea where he posted top 10s in both starts. He is one of the most consistent golfers in the game right now. Making his first start since the BMW, Noh was on a roll, making 17 consecutive cuts and carding all three of his top 10s from 2012 in that time. Noh has two international wins while posting 13 top 20s in 31 worldwide starts in ’12.
Longshot
He finally had a decent putting year in 2012 and still hits the ball great. He has five top-10 finishes, 11 top 25s and tied for seventh here a year ago.
