(TheSpread) – The 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs are halfway complete and Rory McIlroy has set himself up to win this year’s FedEx Cup. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this year.

The FedEx Cup playoffs still have two tournaments (The BMW Championship and the Tour Championship) over the next three weeks. The playoffs are down to the top 70 players and will be whittled down to the final 30 for the final event. The player with the most FedEx Cup points at the end of the playoffs wins the title.
According to oddsmakers, McIlroy is the clear favorite to win, as he has 9/4 odds to win the FedEx Cup. Other short odds to win are Tiger Woods (7/2) and Dustin Johnson (12/1).
McIlroy is leading the FedEx Cup standings by 1,331 points following his win in the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday. This was his first win in a FedEx Cup playoff event. McIlroy is No. 1 in the world rankings.
Woods is third in the FedEx Cup standings. He trails McIlroy by 1,382 points. Woods has won two FedEx Cups and three FedEx Cup playoff events in his career, including the BMW Championship two times. Woods is third in the world rankings.
Dustin Johnson is sixth in the point standings. He is 2,177 points out of first. Johnson has won two FedEx Cup playoff events in his career, including this weeks BMW Championship. Johnson is currently 16th in the world rankings.
The 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs continues this week with The BMW Championship and will span over the next two tournaments, concluding with Tour Championship the week of Sept. 20.
