Updated FedEx Cup Odds
(TheSpread) – The 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs have one of four events complete. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this playoff.

The FedEx Cup playoffs still have three tournaments (The Deutsche Bank Championship, the BMW Championship, and the Tour Championship) over the next three weeks. The playoffs are down to the top 100 players and will be whittled down to the final 30 for the final event. The player with the most FedEx Cup points at the end of the playoffs wins the title.
According to oddsmakers, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are still favored to win this playoff, as each has 7/1 odds. Bubba Watson and Nick Watney each have 10/1 odds.
Woods is third in the point standings. He is 809 points behind Watney for first. Woods is a two-time winner of the FedEx Cup and he has won three FedEx Cup playoff events in his career. Woods is third in the current world rankings. He took 38th at The Barclays.
McIlroy is in fourth place in the FedEx Cup standings. He is 927 points out of first. McIlroy has never won a FedEx Cup playoff event or the FedEx Cup. McIlroy is first in the world rankings and coming off a win in the PGA Championship. He took 24th in The Barclays.
Watson is seventh in the standings. He is 1,146 points out of first place. Watson has never won a FedEx Cup event or the playoffs. Watson is sixth in the World Rankings and he has four top 20’s in his last five events.
Watney went from 49th to 1st in the standings with his win in The Barclays this past weekend. He has a 532-point lead in the standings. It was Watney’s first win in a FedEx Cup playoff event. Watney is now 19th in the World Rankings, but this was his first win since the 2011 AT&T National.
The 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs continues this week with The Deutsche Bank Championship and will span over the next three tournaments, concluding with Tour Championship the week of Sept. 20.
