Wilson holds off the field
LA QUINTA, CA (TheSpread) – Mark Wilson made the most of a three-shot lead entering the final round of the Humana Challenge, as he won the tournament by two strokes on Sunday.
Wilson didn’t have a stellar final round, shooting just a 3-under 69 on Sunday, but that put him at 24-under for the tournament, which was enough to finish two shots ahead of three golfers.
According to oddsmakers, Wilson had 80/1 odds to win the Humana Challenge, meaning a wager of $100 on Wilson will pay out an additional $8,000.
The trio that came in second were Johnson Wagner, John Mallinger, and Robert Garrigus. Wagner was the biggest mover on the day, as he shot a 7-under 65 on Sunday to fit into second place.
