J.T. Shriners Open Predictions
LAS VEGAS, NV (ATS Consultants) – The PGA TOUR is back after the Ryder Cup to reconvene with the JT Shriners Open.
This is what is known as the Tour Series, consisting of four tournaments in which the main interest will be which players can retain their privileges for next year. The top 125 in the standings automatically keep their card.
The next band of players will get a limited number of opportunities but everybody out of the top band will be subject to the unique demands of the Qualifying School. Justin Timberlake and Shriners Hospitals for Children became the main sponsors and the tournament is known for raising an exceptional amount of money for several charities.
TPC at Summerlin is the regular host for this event. The course is in Las Vegas and the average winning score over the last six years has been 22 under. Last year TPC at Summerlin was the easiest par 71 course on the schedule. It also scored sixth easiest for greens in regulation. The defending champ is Kevin Na.
Had a hot start to the Playoffs and finished second to champion Kevin Na last season in Las Vegas. Carded rounds of 65-67-64-67. Bitter about about not being picked for the Ryder Cup? He should be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
The man is due. He’s also rested over the last three weeks when he rallied with an eighth-place finish at the BMW Championship to narrowly miss the Tour Championship. Singh has had success in Vegas in the past, having posted top-40 finishes in his three starts in Sin City.
Longshot
He is a player that sits inside the top 125 on the money list at 83rd. He has made 16 cuts from the 23 starts this season and has racked up eight top 25’s and two top 10’s. He has a ninth-place finish in September at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Seems to play his best golf at this time of the year.
