2012 PGA Championship Free Picks
KIAWAH ISLAND, SC (ATS Consultants) – The PGA Tour moves to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, S.C., for the final major of the season- The PGA Championship.
The favorite is Tiger Woods at 9-2 and is currently second in the world rankings. Woods has won the PGA Championship four times in his career. He has a total of 14 major titles in his career. He missed the cut in the 2011 PGA Championship, but is coming off a third-place finish at the British Open.

In two previous majors on Pete Dye-designed courses, Tiger has finished T28 (2010 PGA) and T24 (2004 PGA) and has never shot lower than 69. Last year’s winner, Keegan Bradley, is a 16-1 favorite.
After back-to-back top top fives in the PGA and a slew of good showings in the southeast, I look for Dufner to add to his successes this week. He’s in form, finishing no lower than seventh in his last four starts on American soil.. He’s missed one cut this season and in his last five events he’s finished first, second, fourth.
Mahan has the ability to drive it straight, has strong iron play and his sometimes streaky good putting. He’s also finished in the top 20 in three of his six PGA Championship appearances.
Longshot
He has six top-10s, one in each month from February through July. Was tied for 19th in his last start at the RBC Canadian Open. He recorded only 11 birdies all week but he limited the negative to just three bogeys and played a 58-hole stretch in bogey-free 10-under spanning the first and last rounds. Sits 39th on TOUR in fairways hit, 17th in Strokes Gained-Putting, seventh in scrambling and 32nd in bogey avoidance.
