MEMPHIS, TN (TheSpread) – The final PGA event prior to the U.S. Open is the 2012 FedEx St. Jude Classic, which begins on Thursday. Here is a look at the odds for this event.

According to oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy and Zach Johnson are the favorites to win this event, as each has 9/1 odds to win. Dustin Johnson is also among the favorites, as he has 18/1 odds to win this week.

McIlroy is second in the world rankings but is in a major funk. He has failed to make the cut in his last three tournaments. This is the worst stretch in quite some time for McIlroy. He did not play in this event last year.

Zach Johnson is 16^th in the world rankings. He is coming off a win in his last event and has placed first or second in three of his last four tournaments. Johnson took 34^th in this tournament last year and 12^th in 2010.

Dustin Johnson is 20^th in the world rankings. He has been injured most of this season but returns last week and placed 19^th at The Memorial. Johnson has not played in this tournament in recent years.

The 2012 PGA FedEx St. Jude Classic takes place from TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. and will begin on Thursday, June 7 and conclude on Sunday, June 10.
