Honda Classic Picks
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (TheSpread) – The 2012 PGA Honda Classic gets started on Thursday. Here are some golfers to consider placing your money on to win.
It is hard to go against McIlroy as he has been so strong as of late, finishing in the top 5 in nine of his last 10 tournaments. While it is always difficult to win a tournament, McIlroy has certainly proven he will have a shot on Sunday and you have to like that given that he has 8/1 odds.
Wilson had a breakout weekend last week, but he has been pretty hit or miss for a while. When not missing the cut, Wilson has placed third, 19th, and first in his last three events. Now 24th in the world rankings, Wilson has been consistent enough to really be a contender most weeks.
Poulter is a long shot, but he has played well in tournaments that feature the best in the world. He has failed to miss a cut in his last seven tournaments and when he is on his game, he is capable of beating anyone. With 66/1 odds, you aren’t expecting a win, but with a small wager, it can be a nice payout and Poulter is a guy that is worth a small risk for a big reward.
