According to oddsmakers, the top-ranked golfer in the world, Luke Donald, is the favorite to win this week with 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Matt Kuchar (14/1) and Jim Furyk (18/1).
Donald is coming off a 32nd-place showing at the Masters. He had won the previous event he played in, The Transitions Championship. Donald has struggled somewhat this year, earning just two top 10’s in six events.
Kuchar is 14th in the world rankings. He placed third in the Masters last week and has finished in the top 10 in his last four tournaments. Kuchar placed 21st in this tournament last year and 14th the year before.
Furyk won this event in 2010. He is now 46th in the world rankings but is one a nice run as of late, finishing 11th or better in his last three tournaments. Furyk finished 21st in this event last year.
The RBC Heritage begins on Thursday, April 12 and will run through Sunday, April 15 from Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. For complete odds for each golfer to win the RBC Heritage, see below.
