Snedeker wins FedEx Cup
ATLANTA, GA (TheSpread) –Brandt Snedeker picked up the biggest win of his career on Sunday, as he won the 2012 PGA Tour Championship, which also won him the 2012 FedEx Cup.
Snedeker was tied for the lead with Justin Rose entering the final round on Sunday. He shot a 2-under 68 on the day while Rose posted a 1-over 71 to win the title. Snedeker was 10-under for the tournament, three shots ahead of Rose and four ahead of Ryan Moore and Luke Donald.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Snedeker had 30/1 odds to win this week’s tournament, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $3,000. Snedeker also had 60/1 odds to win the FedEx Cup at the start of the playoffs, which means a $100 wager on him to win the Cup will pay out an additional $6,000.
Because of his win on Sunday, combined with a 10th-place finish from Rory McIlroy, Snedeker easily won the FedEx Cup with his victory on Sunday.
McIlroy ended up second overall in the FedEx Cup while Tiger Woods took third.
