According to oddsmakers, Luke Donald is the favorite to win this event with 11/1 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Charl Schwartzel (14/1) and Justin Rose (16/1).
Donald is now second in the world rankings after holding the top spot for the end of the 2011 season. Donald has finished outside the top 10 in three of his last four tournaments, but prior to that he had 13-straight top 20’s.
Schwartzel has climbed to sixth in the world rankings after finishing 17th or better in 11 of his last 12 tournaments, which includes six top 5’s.
Rose is now seventh in the world rankings thanks to his win in the WGC-Cadillac Championship last Sunday. Rose has placed in the top five of his last two events and he placed fifth in last year’s event.
The PGA Transitions Championship takes place from Thursday, March 15 to Sunday, March 18 from Innisbrook-Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida. For complete odds for each golfer to win the PGA Transitions Championship, see below.
