Transitions Championship Picks
PALM HARBOR, FL (TheSpread) – The 2012 PGA Transitions Championship gets started on Thursday. Here are some golfers to consider placing your money on to win.
Charl Schwartzel 14/1
Schwartzel has been on a tear as of late, placing in the top 17 in 11 of his last 12 tournaments. In that stretch he also has six top 5’s. With Luke Donald struggling right now, Schwartzel seems to be the safest play in this field.
Nick Watney 20/1
Watney has been a little off this year, but still has been a threat, placing in the top 10 in five of his last eight tournaments. He took fourth in this tournament in 2010 and 13th in 2011, so this is a course that he seems to play well. Look for him to be in the hunt this weekend.
Jason Day 35/1
Day is kind of off the radar right now because of the recent surge of other players. Still, he is ninth in the world rankings and he has been in the top 20 in seven of his last nine tournaments, including five top 10’s. Look for him to be in the hunt on the weekend with a chance to win come Sunday.
