2012 U.S. Open Predictions
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (ATS Consultants) – The PGA Tour moves to San Francisco for the second major of the season.
The U.S. Open will be played at the Olympic Club, a tough course that will help the underdog. Tiger Woods is back to being the favorite after winning two weeks ago at Jack Nicklaus’ PGA Memorial Tournament. The defending champ, Rory McIlroy is 10-1, but has struggled to meet his enormous expectations. Luke Donald is the third favorite sine he’s the number one player in the world but has never won a major championship nor has he finished in the top 10 of a U.S. Open.

Kuchar drives it straight and leads the TOUR in scoring average. He had a top-15 finish at Olympic in ’98 as an amateur and was fourth after 36 holes. He’s been strong in the last two U.S. Opens and has arrived as one of the world’s best players after winning the Players Championship this year.
Rose is playing well, has the length and accuracy to do well at this course. He’s 21st on TOUR in fairways hit and third in greens in regulation. He already has one win this year and five top-10 finishes. He’s definitely due to win a major.
Longshot
