Piercy wins RBC Canadian Open
ANCASTER, Ontario (TheSpread) – Scott Piercy used a fast start on Sunday to carry him to the victory in the RBC Canadian Open.
Piercy put together a string of four straight birdies from holes 2-5, and ultimately finish with a 3-under 67 on Sunday to finish -17 overall, which put him one shot ahead of Robert Garrigus and William McGirt.
Garrigus posted an even-par 70 on Sunday while McGirt shot a 1-under 69. Both men had their chances to make a run at the top, but came up just short.
According to oddsmakers, Piercy had 40/1 odds to win this week’s tournament. That means that a wager of $100 on Piercy to win will pay out an additional $4,000.
