According to oddsmakers, Tiger Woods is the favorite to win this matchup with a money line of -120 to beat McIlroy, while McIlroy has odds of -110 to beat Woods this weekend.
Tiger Woods is a four-time winner of the Masters and he has an impervious record at Augusta. Woods last won the Masters in 2005, but he has finished sixth or better in his last seven Masters appearances. Woods is also coming off his first PGA Tour win since 2009 in his last outing, so he is primed for a run this weekend.
McIlroy has only played in the Masters three times in his career. He missed the cut once and placed 20th and 15th in the other two. In last year’s Masters, he brought a four-shot lead into the final round of the event, but shot an 80 on Sunday to end up in 15th place. However, McIlroy bounced back nicely from the fall, winning the U.S. Open in his next major. McIlroy is second in the world rankings and has finished in the top 5 in 11 of his last 12 tournaments
The Masters takes place from Thursday, April 5 to Sunday, March 8 from Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia. For matchup odds between Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, see below.
