According to oddsmakers, Tiger Woods is the favorite to be the top American finisher this week with 3/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (4/1), Hunter Mahan (12/1), and Keegan Bradley (14/1).
Woods is seventh in the world rankings. He has placed in the top 5 in five of the last seven tournaments he has finished. Woods has won this tournament four times and he has placed sixth or better in the last seven Masters Tournaments. He is always in contention to be the top American finisher in this event.
Mickelson is 14th in the world rankings. He has placed in the top 5 in three of his last four tournaments. Mickelson is a three-time Masters champion, and his last win came in 2010. Mickelson has placed in the top 10 of his event in 13 of his last 17 Masters outings.
Mahan is up to fourth in the world rankings following a win last week. Mahan has two top 10’s at the Masters in five appearances. His best finish came in 2010, when he placed eighth. Mahan missed the cut last year.
Bradley is 19th in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in his last two events and top 20 in 12 of his last 13 tournaments. Bradley has never played in The Masters, but he won his only major appearance in his career, the 2011 PGA Championship.
