Travelers Championship Predictions
CROMWELL, CT (ATS Consultants) – The PGA Tour moves to Cromwell, Connecticut for the Travelers Championship.
This week’s field is still pretty strong with last week’s champion and a few Top 10 finishers in the field as well. Webb Simpson is looking to follow up his U.S. Open victory with another win Simpson joins Matt Kuchar and Hunter Mahan as the favorites to win this event, as each golfer comes in with 14/1 odds to win the title.

Simpson moved up to fifth in the world rankings with his U.S. Open victory last Sunday. He had missed the cut in his prior two tournaments. Mahan won this title back in 2007 and finished 43rd last year. He is currently 10th in the world rankings after placing 38th in the U.S. Open. He has not placed in the top 10 of his last six tournaments.
He won in 2007 and finished runner up in ’08 and ’09. This season he’s made 11 of 12 cuts with a pair of wins and three other top 15′s. Last week he made the cut at the U.S. Open and finished tied for 38th. He ranks second in the FedEx Cup rankings, has a 71.07 scoring average and is 10th in the world rankings.
Fredrik Jacobson is the defending champ so he knows his way around the course. He has four top 30′s and two missed cuts going back to the Masters. He ranks 44th in the world and averages 71.87.
Longshot
He’s a former amateur standout who is 13-for-16 in his rookie year with two top 10s and another four top 25s. He ranks 19th in greens in regulation and 30th in birdie average.
