Top American U.S. Open Odds
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (TheSpread) – It has been a few years since an American won the U.S. Open title. Here is a look at the odds for who will be the top American finisher in this year’s tournament.

According to oddsmakers, Tiger Woods is the favorite to be the top U.S. performer, as he has 11/4 odds. Other short odds to be the top American is Phil Mickelson (9/1) and Dustin Johnson (11/1).
Woods is fourth in the world rankings thanks to a victory in his last PGA event. Woods has won the U.S. Open three times in his career with his last coming in 2008. Woods has finished in the top 10 in eight of his last 12 U.S. Opens.
Mickelson is 13th in the world rankings entering the U.S. Open. Mickelson has never won the U.S. Open but has come very close in the past. He has finished in the top 10 in nine of his 20 U.S. Open appearances.
Johnson is 10th in the world rankings following a victory last Sunday in just his second PGA event since coming back from injury. Johnson has competed in the U.S. Open the last four years and has just one top 10. He placed eighth in 2010, but has never missed the cut in his four appearances.
The U.S. Open begins on Thursday, June 14 and will run through Sunday, June 17 from the Olympic Club-Lake Course in San Francisco, California. For complete odds on which American will have the best finish, see below.
