WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Odds
AKRON, Ohio (TheSpread) – A week before the final major of the year, the best golfers in the world meet to compete in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, which begins on Thursday.

This event is not part of the PGA, but is part of the World Golf Championships, which features most of the top golfers in the world. According to oddsmakers, Tiger Woods is the favorite to win this event, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Luke Donald (12/1), Lee Westwood (15/1) and Adam Scott (15/1).
Woods is a seven-time winner of this event, with his last win coming in 2009. Woods is second in the world rankings and he has three wins on the year and coming off a third-place finish in the British Open. Woods has finished in the top 20 in three of his last five WGC events.
Donald is the No. 1 ranked golfer in the world by a comfortable margin. He has placed 16th or better in six of his last seven tournaments and he has placed in the top 10 in five of his last six WGC events.
Westwood is fourth in the world rankings, but has finished outside the top 40 in his last two events. He does have two victories this year and has finished in the top 20 in six of his last seven WGC events.
Scott won this tournament last year with the second-best score in the tournament’s history (-17). He is coming off his final round collapse in the British Open that saw him finish second after leading by four shots with five holes to go. Scott is winless on the year but has placed in the top 10 in three of his last four WGC events.
