WGC-Cadillac Championship Odds

According to oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy, the new No. 1 ranked golfer, is the favorite to win this event, as he has been given 6/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Tiger Woods (7/1), Phil Mickelson (12/1), and Lee Westwood (14/1).
McIlroy is now the top-ranked golfer in the world following a win in last week’s Honda Classic. McIlroy has been on a tear, finishing in the top 5 in 10 of his last 11 tournaments, with the worst showing in that run being an 11th-place finish.
Woods has actually won this event six times and he owns the course and tournament record. His last win in this event was in 2007. Woods is now 16th in the world rankings following a runner-up finish last week. Woods has finished 17th or better his in last six tournaments, which includes three top 3’s and a victory. Woods placed 10th in this tournament last year.
Mickelson claimed this championship back in 2009. Mickelson is 12th in the world rankings and he has finished in the top 2 in his last two tournaments. Mickelson placed 55th in this event last year and 14th in 2010.
Westwood is third in the world rankings. He is on a run of three-straight top-4 finishes and eight top 20’s in his last 9 tournaments. Westwood placed 18th in this tournament last year and 30th in 2010.
