Poulters wins WGC event
DONGGUAN, China (TheSpread) – Ian Poulter put together an impressive final round to win the WGC-HSBC Champions event on Sunday.
Poulter shot his second straight 7-under, 65 on Sunday to get to 21 under for the tournament, which put him two shots ahead a field of four to win this tournament.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Poulter had odds of 20/1 to win this event, which means that a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $2,000.
Among those that finished at -19 for the tournament were Jason Dufner, Scott Piercy, Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson. Dufner shot an 8-under 64 in his final round of play.
