Woods wins Farmers Insurance Open
LA JOLLA, CA (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods made his first PGA start of 2013 worth while, as he won the Farmers Insurance Open on Monday.
In an event that dealt with weather issues on the weekend, Woods was able separate himself from the field in the second round and never look back. He struggled on Monday, finishing with an even-par 72 for the final round, but still finished at -14 overall, four shots ahead of the field.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Woods had 6/1 odds to win this event entering last week, which means a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $600. Woods has now won this tournament eight times in his career.
Brandt Snedeker shot a 3-under 69 in his final round to climb to -10 overall and earn a share of second place with Josh Teater, who also shot a 69 in his final round.
