Tiger Woods back to No. 1
ORLANDO, FL (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods is finally back as No. 1 in the world rankings after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Monday afternoon.
Woods claimed this tournament title for the eighth time, shooting a 13-under 275 for the tournament. It is the first time Woods has been on top of the world rankings since 2010.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Woods had 5/2 odds to win this tournament, which means a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $250.
Woods posted a 2-under 70 on Monday to hold off Justin Rose, who also shot a 70 to finish two shots off Woods at -11 overall. Four other golfers, headlined by Rickie Fowler and Keegan Bradley, finished tied for third at -8 overall.
