Frys.com Open Odds
SAN MARTIN, CA (TheSpread) – The 2014 FedEx Cup season technically gets started this week as the Frys.com Open begins the new PGA season. Here’s a look at the odds for this tournament.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, both Gary Woodland and Hideki Matsuyama are favored to win this event, as each has 20/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Billy Horschel, Jimmy Walker and Jonas Blixt, who each have 25/1 odds.
Matsuyama is 30th in the world rankings and he has placed 21st or better in his last eight tournaments. He has three wins in 2013, all coming in Japan.
Woodland is 80th in the world rankings. He has finished 22nd or better in four of his last six events, including one victory.
Horschel is 35th in the world rankings. He is coming off a seventh-place finish in the TOUR Championship. He has one win in 2013.
Walker is 66th in the world rankings. He is coming off an 11th-place finish in his last outing, but he has missed the cut in six of his last nine events.
Blixt is the defending champion of this tournament. He is 34th in the world rankings, but has finished outside the top 50 in his last three tournaments. Blixt has one win in 2013.
